During your trip:
Not at all! Our Class C RVs drive like a large van or cube truck. If you can drive a moving truck, you can drive our motorhomes. We provide detailed orientation, and Highway 1 to Banff is a smooth, well-maintained route perfect for first-timers. Most renters feel comfortable within the first hour.
Yes, part of RV rental includes emptying gray and black water tanks. We'll show you exactly how during orientation— it's much easier than people think! Most campgrounds have dump stations, and we provide a list of free dump stations along popular routes. If you prefer, you can pay us to empty tanks upon return.
In summer (June-August), Banff and Jasper campgrounds fill up months in advance. We strongly recommend booking as soon as you reserve your RV. Parks Canada reservations open in January for the full season. Private campgrounds have more availability but popular ones still sell out.
You're covered by 24/7 roadside assistance through RVezy/Outdoorsy, plus you can call us directly. We've maintained these RVs personally and know them inside out. Minor issues can often be fixed with a quick phone call. For major problems, roadside assistance will tow you to the nearest service center.
Class C motorhomes get approximately 18-22 MPG (12-15 L/100km). Calgary to Banff and back (~260 km) uses about $50-70 in gas. A week-long Rockies loop (Calgary-Banff-Jasper-Calgary) is roughly 1,000 km, so budget $200-300 for fuel depending on gas prices.
Book as early as possible! Our most popular RVs are reserved 3-6 months in advance for summer travel. Spring and fall have more availability and lower rates. If you're flexible with dates, we can often find last-minute deals, but your choice of RV will be limited.
